Artificial walls of mystery/for wide public usage, multimedia installation, mixed media, animation stop motion/loop 16 min, 2009

Umetni zidovi skrivnosti is an installation project in progress in which Lea Jazbec cuts out random pieces from the Slovenian daily paper DELO gathered from 20th April 2009 until 21st June 2009. The cuttings from this period of time are then hung in a specially designed space by the artist, in which visitors may come in a read the materials in chronological order. The cut-out photos, on the other hand, are presented using stop-motion animation, suggesting an alternative reading of the newspaper sheets and creating a dynamic approach that offers an alternative communication of reality.
