Merging, multimedia installation, 2016

In 2014, while on a trip to South America, I learnt about the background and significance of tapestry tradition within the local communities I visited. Patterns in tapestry always have a special meaning or. narrative. What I learnt on this trip inspired the horizontal movement and two circles calling for unification. On my way to San José Volcano at the end of the Cajón del Maipo, on the Chile-Argentina border, I found a horse pad and recorded a video of a woman riding a horse across a flat landscape at the feet of the mountains.
