The video work Eye on the Moon is inspired by the life and activities of the Museo dell’Altro e dell’Altrove di Metropoliz_città meticcia (MAAM) in the outskirt of Rome. The subjects are the people and the physical space of MAAM with its beauty and roughness. The video explores the relationship between the concepts of ‘resident’ and ‘visitor’ at MAAM. Graphic Image are digital snapshots taken during the numerous meetings with the museum’s residents. These experiences informed Jazbec’s research on MAAM during which the artist surveyed possible interventions within the site and its artistic activity.
